A move of a special kind
In preparation for the demolition of the former EDEKA store, a very special move took place on the site in March 2022: A 17 meter high tree was relocated! The Norway maple had already been growing on the east side of the property for many years. In order to preserve the tree, the city of Weilheim and ehret+klein decided to replant the large tree. With the help of a special machine, the tree was excavated along with its roots and replanted about 300 meters away on municipal property.
